Our research group is made up of staff from the Department of Analytical and Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry at the URV and has been recognized as a consolidated research group by the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government).
Our research focuses on the development and application of analytical methods for the determination of organic contaminants in environmental and biological samples. We have extensive experience in all types of sample treatment techniques, as well as in separation techniques such as gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and capillary electrophoresis, all combined with mass spectrometry. This activity has been made possible thanks to funding received through publicly funded research projects, as well as numerous knowledge transfer projects with companies.
The group's activities also include training and knowledge transfer. We participate in activities to disseminate science among young people, training activities for company personnel, and formal training activities. In this regard, the group members actively participate in teaching various undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, all related to analytical chemistry and separation techniques. The group teaches the following subjects:
- Degrees of Chemistry; Biochemistry and i Biotechnology i Chemical Engineering
- Masters of "Applied Chromatographic Techniques", “Tools for Professional Development in the Industry“, ”Environmental Law” i de "Genetics, Physics and Forensic Chemistry"
- Doctoral Program of "Chemical Science and Technology"
Our research group is part of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at the URV.
