Our research group is actively involved in science outreach initiatives across the region, primarily aimed at young people, with the goal of inspiring scientific vocations. Some examples include:
-
Popular science talks in chemistry for secondary school (ESO) and high school (BAT) students, as well as for senior audiences.
-
Support for high school research projects related to analytical chemistry.
-
Participation in hands-on experimental workshops for ESO and BAT students, organized by the URV, such as Fem recerca! and EstiuURV.
-
Participation in the Repte Experimenta program.
-
Engagement in public science events such as the European Researchers' Night.
- What is science outreach?
- Science outreach involves interpreting and communicating scientific knowledge to the general public, beyond strictly academic settings. It can cover current scientific discoveries or entire fields of scientific knowledge.
- What is Repte Experimenta?
Interest in science doesn't simply arise-it's cultivated. That is the spirit of the Repte Experimenta program: a science challenge that invites 1st and 2nd year ESO students to carry out experiments using everyday materials (such as food, pharmacy products, or cleaning supplies).
